Vase-plate "Scorching sun"

Lot: 2121

Germany, middle of 20th century, porcelain, mark Lindner.

The cobalt vase-plate is made with the techniques of knurling, gold and double gilding.

The Bavarian porcelain manufactory Lindner, founded in 1928, was renowned for its sophisticated, completely handcrafted items. The manufactory still exists today, continuing the tradition of hand-made porcelain.

"Lindner Kueps Bavaria" mark, as on this plate, has been used since the 1970s, and the signature "Echt Cobalt" translates as "real cobalt".
