The plate is made with techniques of hand-painted decal, covering, gilding.
Metal holder with gold plating.

Camille Tarot was one of the most renowned porcelain masters in Limoges. His works dignifiedly represented the craftsmanship of Limoges manufactories at the World Exhibitions in 1925 and 1937, as well as at the thematic exhibition in New York in 1939 (Exposition du groupement des porcelainiers de Limoges).

Limoges, French municipality, has been known for its decorative arts since the Middle Ages. From the beginning of the 19th century, when a kaolin mine was opened nearby, Limoges became one of the world centers for the production of porcelain and even competed with the royal manufacture of Sévres. The municipality is home to many factories, studios and shops specializing in porcelain.
