Luxurious "Thebes" Furniture Set

Luxurious furniture set, consisting of a sofa, a pair of armchairs, a pair of chairs and a round table. The table has a green marble top. The furniture is made of gilded wood, upholstered in blue-gray damask with gray embroidery with floral patterns. The backs of the chairs and the armrests of the sofa are decorated with carved patterns in the ancient Egyptian style - lotus and other flowers and plants, heads in traditional hats and griffins.
The set was purchased at the elite Vente Classique auction on the French Riviera in the city of Cannes, where furniture from the ancient Le Béal estate in Biot was presented. The attribution of the auction house is attached.
Very good condition, with traces of age and use, minor scuffs and loss of gilding.
